BIO

Noémie is a French visual artist and producer with roots in Italy and Eastern Europe. Having lived in New York, Berlin, Milan, Moscow, Paris, and Tunis, she has now returned to Nice, on the shores of her beloved Mediterranean.

For Noémie, photography is far more than a meditative exercise; it is a means of immersing herself in the present moment and capturing an atmosphere of tranquility and timelessness. Initially captivated by the precision of architecture, she gradually turned her focus to the organic forms of nature, discovering in the sea a living muse whose essence she strives to convey. Yet, beyond pure contemplation, it is the fragility of this ecosystem that lingers in her mind: for her, the ocean becomes both a poetic and political space, a reflection of our ecological responsibilities and a call to safeguard this ever-changing world.

While her subjects have evolved, her fascination with the materiality and spatiality of art endures. By experimenting with various supports and methods of display she pushes the boundaries of photography. Each installation transforms into an immersive journey, where the artist orchestrates the viewer’s movement, creating a dialogue in which the work and gaze intertwine in a perpetually renewed exploration of perception.
