Osmosis
Between sky and sea, I invite you into a sensory experience where perception shifts and familiar bearings dissolve. Immersed in water, I capture the shimmering surface of the Mediterranean — first from above, then in apnea from below.
My circular photographs, resembling suspended planets, float overhead. As viewers look up, they enter a space where water becomes celestial. This inversion of perspective continues in the exhibition design: underwater images rest on round pedestals, inviting the viewer to lean in — to dive in with their gaze.
Like marine deities, the monumental photo-sculptures Guardians of the Shore are composed of fragments of surface photographs. Each column — a vertical assemblage of seven layered images — weaves together two visions of water, sealing the union of air and sea.
In Osmosis, I push the boundaries of photography to create a dialogue between presence and absence, surface and depth, stillness and motion. The number seven, rich in symbolism, reflects a balance between the visible and the unseen.
This exhibition is a poetic encounter between art and ecology, where land and sea intertwine. It invites a renewed contemplation of the ocean — a space both powerful and fragile, worthy of wonder and care.
Through each image, each sculpture, each breath of water, I hope to share a sense of deep connection with the sea — a mirror of our own existence.
